Romans 5-8

Paul’s letter to the church in Rome is perhaps the greatest letter ever written, for in his epistle the truth of the gospel is unfolded and applied to the human condition. Sin has left man ruined. Sin has tainted all that we do, say and think. The reality of sin is the cause of every global, personal and inner conflict experienced by man. Jesus said that if we hold to His teachings we will know the truth and the truth will set us free. Romans is the clearest proclamation of the truth that God has sent His Son to set man free from the shackles of sin.
Romans 8 delivers the strongest case for a believer’s security found anywhere in the Bible. But how can we know? In Romans 9-11 Paul pulls back the curtain and lets us glimpse into the purpose and planning of God. Romans 9-11 deals with the difficult issue of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility. Understanding how these work together is the key to knowing your faith is secure in Christ.
