About Nel
Nel coordinates the children’s ministry at Grace Downtown. She joined staff in 2024. Nel and her husband Danny lived overseas in the Middle East for 10 years. They have three girls – Emma, Lydia, and Tessa – and have been in full time ministry since 2012. Nel loves engaging all ages and equipping all people to be committed disciples of Jesus who imitate His habits. As part of her discipleship to Jesus, Nel has embraced the practice of simplicity and loves growing and making most of their food from scratch! She is also a bit obsessed with decluttering and owning as few items as possible. They love hosting people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures in their home and sharing a Sabbath meal with people they disciple or neighbors who are curious about Jesus. She is a nerd about gardening and all things spiritual formation.
