About Rick
Rick has been part of Grace since 2006 and was ordained as an elder in 2015. He and his wife, Carol, have been married since 1981 and have two adult daughters. Rick grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa and retired from the Iowa City Police Department in 2014. In his free time, he enjoys visiting his daughters and their families and participating in a variety of outdoor activities. Rick also serves on our Biblical Counseling team. He enjoys teaching at Grace, both in sermons and the Thrive classes. Rick is inspired by the missional attitudes of others, seeing them incorporate Christlikeness in their daily lives.
